CIT Inclusion Fiesta: Celebrating 10 Years of CIT!
Last week, we had the pleasure of taking part in the CIT Inclusion Fiesta, a milestone event celebrating 10 years of the Community Inclusive Trust. It was an extraordinary occasion, marking the first time that over 850 of our staff, Trustees, and Local School Board members gathered together under one roof. The event truly reflected the spirit and unity of the CIT community.
The day began with an unforgettable welcome from a vibrant mariachi band, setting the perfect festive tone for what was to come. Their energetic performance lifted everyone’s spirits and created a sense of excitement and anticipation that carried throughout the day.
We were fortunate to hear from a lineup of truly inspiring guest speakers. Jaz Ampaw-Farr, renowned for her motivational talks on resilience and education, shared her powerful message about overcoming adversity and making a lasting impact as educators. Baasit Siddiqui, a familiar face from Gogglebox, offered his unique insights on how to engage and inspire students in innovative ways. James Partridge, known for his “assembly bangers,” delivered an energetic and uplifting session that got everyone involved.
Alongside these talks, attendees had the opportunity to network and connect with colleagues from across the trust. A delicious lunch was served, providing the perfect setting for informal discussions and the chance to share experiences, ideas, and best practices.
The CIT Inclusion Fiesta wasn’t just about celebrating the past decade; it was a fantastic reminder of the critical role each of us plays in shaping the future of our trust and the children we serve. Whether you're a teacher, trustee, or support staff member, YOU make a difference every day, and together, we can continue to champion our CIT children.
The event was a powerful demonstration of our shared commitment to inclusion, excellence, and community. Here’s to the next 10 years!
