The team at LEARN Teaching School Alliance have been very busy during the lock-down period, taking training online, developing new relationships and planning for the return of face-to-face courses when it is safe to do so.
Firstly, we would like to welcome Sarah Robertson who has joined us one day per week as Teacher and Operational Support. Sarah will bring fresh eyes from a Teacher’s perspective, revamping our communications strategy and supporting the development of our school offer.
Last term saw the launch of our online Engagement Model training with Fran Crowther and Kate White. More courses will be rolled out between now and Christmas and we will send updates as appropriate.
Continuing the digital theme we have also enjoyed very successful Early Years and LaMHS Forums, and would like to thank Jayne Carter for making these happen.
LEARN are currently in the process of preparing our training offer ready for next academic year, with a plan to start the main delivery after Christmas. However, we will be delivering courses such as Team Teach and First Aid as soon as we possibly can.
In further updates, many of you have signed up for the Train Together substantial Level 2 qualifications, aimed at support staff. We have also recently developed a positive relationship with Futures in Mind, and we are excited that they have agreed to offer the Emotion Coaching training.
Thank you to everyone who has worked with us throughout this unprecedented time and we hope the return of pupils goes as smoothly as possible. We will be thinking of you all.
